The Oakton WD-35804-09 is a single-junction, 12-mm, gel-filled, pin-junction, Calomel, pH electrode, with an epoxy body, 0-12 pH range and direct connection to the tester. The electrode, also known as a probe, measures the pH of a solution. It has a Calomel (HgCl) solution, and is commonly used for solutions containing proteins, organics, or heavy metals that could react with silver and clog the reference junction. This electrode features a single-junction for general-purpose applications, and has an epoxy body for impact resistance and durability. The electrode houses a gel-filled electrolyte, inside of its reference chamber to enhance performance, and has a 10 BNC-connected combination reference and measuring cell, for ease of use and to provide tight coaxial cable connections.

The 35804-09 refillable electrode has a temperature limit of 70 degrees C (158 degrees F). Its dimensions are 12 (d) x 100 (l) mm, and it is intended for use with the Oakton pHTestr BNC (sold separately). It comes with a protective electrode storage container to prevent damage.

pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in hydroponics, aquaculture, agriculture and wine-making.
